Additions and renovations to existing College Avenue streetscape between E. 6th Street and E. 7th Street in Tempe, AZ. The street design accommodates pedestrian foot traffic while bus, truck, automobile, and bike traffic were maintained and improved. The work included: Selective demolition, cutting and patching of existing pavement, concrete construction, architectural cast-in-place concrete, structural steel framing, glazing, painting, site furnishings, electrical power, lighting, wiring, and fixtures, site and civil work, landscaping, site accessories. Redpoint performed the relocation of water mains, storm sewer mains, fire mains and manholes for the new Block 12 Street Scape. This project required close coordination with the engineers and the city inspectors in this archaeologically sensitive area. College Avenue is one of the most heavily frequented pedestrian areas in Tempe. Redpoint kept egress open and gave safe passage through the site for residents and visitors.
