The Northern Arizona University Hilltop Student Housing project involved excavations up to twenty five feet deep through solid Malapai rock. REDPOINT installed over 6000 feet of waterline utilizing a rock saw when conditions allowed and excavating with large hammers when conditions did not. Storm water retention and diversion excavations were on steep slopes in the Flagstaff, Arizona area. Geosynthetic reinforced retaining walls were used after installation of the systems to stabilize the slopes.
